Thanks, Matt! I'm honored, even if all the comments were about how the 86 needs more power.

If by power they meant "mid-range torque" then yes- it needs a bunch more. If by power they meant "horsepower" then not so much. A minor bump would be nice I guess. What it really needs is better adjustable steering wheel for taller folks (selfishly, so I can buy one) and a stereo that is much better sorted.

I'm 6'4" and I understand your issues. The aftermarket is awesome and has actually solved two of these and working on the third.

1) mid-range torque: equal length header like the P&L Header $879.99-$1149.99. It completely gets rid of the dip. A tune will be necessary to get the full benefits, so lets add one in. Right now EcuTek is the only game in town, so you have to pay a big premium for it ($800-$1300). OpenFlash will be coming out soon and will be much cheaper, so I would wait for that.

2) much better stereo: OEM Audio+ has come out with a stereo upgrade for the FR-S\BRZ. It's called the System 400+ $1199 and I have it. It comes with an 8-inch sub in a custom molded enclosure, new tweeters, an amp for the sub, a new amp for the rest of the speakers, and a wiring harness. The difference between stock and this system is tremendous. It goes from frustrating to amazing. There are still some issues with the door speakers rattling, but only on very few select songs at high volumes. This is also being solved soon with another upgrade, the Reference Upgrade $399.00. You can get both these systems together for $1499.00, or $100 cheaper Reference 400CF . You can order them direct or get them through dealers.

So, right now, that means that in order to solve your problems you have to pay an extra $2878.99-$3948.99, which is a good deal extra. That brings the cost of the car up to $27,378.99-$28,448.99. Is it still worth it then? If yes, then go for it.

As for your third complaint, there is a company working on a seat-lowering bracket that will drop the drivers seat 2" at the cost of not being able to slide the seat all of the way forward. This drop should make the driving position of tall people like us much better. Unfortunately, right now it is still in the prototyping stage and there is no price, so we have to wait. Here is a link to the thread about this.

A seat drop of two inches! Oh man I'd feel like I was sitting on the actual road. (also 6'4'')
